DAY 9
WHEELCHAIR RUGBY
Australia had a
comfortable win over Belgium to ensure top spot in pool B They won by 58 points
to 43. Australia had control of the match from the second period as in the
first they could go no further than 2 goals clear. They then were able to make
a lot of fast breakaways and keep Belgium in check
Canada won a very tight
match with one bad error loosing the game for Sweden. They meant to hit a long
pass and it went wrong and Canada got possession back to do a quick breakaway
goal. Canada won by 52 goals to 51. One team was never more than 3 goals ahead
so you could not say who would win this game. There were loads of contact and
breakaway goals this was a great game
Great Britain has had
some serious problems against Japan as they lost by 39 points to 51 the amount
of turnover ball and breakaways are unbelievable as Japan seemed unstoppable.
The game was lost in the second quarter as they lost that by 4 goals to 13
after such a great start winning the first by 14 goal to 13 the other 2 were
tight as in the third they lost 15 to11 and fourth was a tie 10 each. If Britain have any hope they need to change
a lot.
7 A SIDE FOOTBALL
